Claudio Merulo

Biography
Claudio Merulo was an important Italian organist and composer. He spent his life in Itlay, serving as an organist in both Brescia and Venice. In 1586 he became court organist at Parma. Merulo represents the Venetian school of composition. His keyboard works defined a new era of independent compositions for the organ.
