After you have decided on a structure for your practice time on a piece, it is wise to prepare the score for practice.
If you plan to play from the score without a page turner, do any needed cutting, pasting, copying, reducing, taping, etc., so that page turning will not cause stress or mistakes.
Here is one suggestion for preparing the score of longer pieces. Count the number of pages and then devise a layout. Copy and reduce the pages so that they will fit into your layout. Cut the pages to exact size, and then paste them onto stiff paper or poster board. Tape the finished pieces together with paper tape.
Make sure that the finished "paste-up" will fit into your music storage space and that it is easily transportable.
