Provided that copyright laws are being observed, page turns can be avoided by copying selected pages from the score and taping them side by side. If needed, some or all of the pages can be reduced in size.
In very long works, you might create "paste-ups." Pages may be reduced as far as practical, and then pasted in order on stiff paper such as card stock, manila folders, or art paper.
It is advisable to prepare the score fairly early in the learning process so that you become accustomed to reading the same score from which you will be performing.
Also begin early in the process practicing with page turns, with your page turner, or with your prepared score. Practice well in advance of the performance until each page turn is secure.
