To Simplify the Right-Hand Fingering

After you become accustomed to using redistribution, you will be able to use it whenever it might simplify the right-hand fingering.

The highlighted notes in the example could be played legato by using a thumb glissando, but it is easier to simply play the B with the left-hand thumb. The B does not fit under the categories previously mentioned:

• parallel sixths
• other moving intervals
• out of range of the right hand
• alto and tenor share common tones

It merely simplifies the right-hand fingering to play the B with the thumb.
