The Harmonic Series

HIGHER PITCHES (above the eighth partial)

As the harmonic series continues building upward, the pitches grow weaker until they become practically inaudible. The intervals between partials become smaller and smaller until there is less than a half step between them.

These very high pitches are of less practical value in organ registration, hence they are not discussed further.

However, the series must also progress downward to account for two common pedal stops.
