Practice Individual Parts
Most of the time it takes to learn a left-hand/pedal study will be spent working through the three steps listed to the right.
With a Principal 8' stop on the Great, practice the LEFT-HAND part of a section (such as section 1). Focus on one item at a time, polishing each slowly:
When all of these are intact, gradually increase the tempo, allowing several repetitions at each level before increasing the tempo again. Write down the tempo at which you decide to stop.
