Practice Plan

1. Precise releases. A comma in this project should be treated as an eighth rest. Each time a comma appears, feel the hand or foot "become light" precisely on the half-beat.

If needed, count:
One-and-two-and-three-and-four-AND-”
and see that the release occurs exactly on the “AND” that follows beat four (see blue lines).

If you are consciously counting, keep repeating the passage as you focus on the sound and feel of the line as it is intended. Allow this to soak into your subconscious mind. Keep practicing until it seems easier to play it correctly than to make errors. The natural flow that results will be well worth the effort.
