The Electronic Organ (continued)

Some recently-produced electronic organs have enjoyed increased success as their manufacturers attempt to strike a balance between cost-cutting, space-saving, and quality of tone and workmanship. This provides an alternative to the high cost of a well-crafted pipe organ, and has brought the organ within reach of some institutions and individuals who otherwise could not have afforded the cost or space to own them.

Some changes and technological “advances” have not been accepted as readily. The great desire to cut costs, save space, and make a profit has resulted in a wide range of quality in organ building and manufacturing. Caution must be exercised by the individual buyer, the consultant, or selection committee to avoid instruments, be they pipe or electronic, that do not meet their standards and needs.
