Catch the Vision

Be Sure it is Well Suited

However the piece comes into your hands, before you commit yourself to learn it, be sure that the piece you choose is WELL SUITED for:

  • your level of TECHNICAL ABILITY. Even accomplished pianists should master several early-level organ works so that they can learn the details of organ technique before tackling the major organ works.
  • your level of COMMITMENT. If it is difficult for you to practice for weeks and months to master lengthy piano works, you will find it at least as difficult to learn lengthy organ works.
  • the FUNCTION for which it is intended. In church, play music that is appropriate for the worship service. Save music that is best suited for concert use for programs and recitals outside of the worship service.
