SMALL REWARDS. Eat your favorite snack. Get a drink of water. Make a phone call. Read your E-mail. Do some jumping jacks. Play a favorite short piece. Take a five-minute break.
MEDIUM REWARDS. Have lunch. Drink an orange juice. Make some phone calls. Surf the Web (briefly!). Run around the block. Play a favorite long piece. End your practice session.
LARGE REWARDS. Treat yourself and a partner to dinner. Go out for a fresh fruit shake. Call someone you have been meaning to call all year. Start your own Web page. Go to the spa. Spend an hour playing your favorite organ. Take a weekend off from practice. (!)
