Use SMALLER PHRASE BREAKS:

Phrase breaks can be made smaller by breaking only the soprano part. The break will seem a little larger if you break in two parts, (such as soprano and tenor) and even larger if those two parts are adjacent (such as soprano and alto).

You can even break in all of the parts without disrupting the flow, provided that the break is small enough.

Example 1: Break in soprano only
Example 2: Break in soprano & tenor

Example 4: Break in all parts
