Now, to the right is a harmonic series based on a note other than tenor C--the B below tenor C.
As you move back and forth between the previous screen and this
one, you see that the only items that change are the notes themselves.
The intervals between them remain the same.
Before you leave this topic, be sure that you can follow these three examples:
- The arrow indicates the note played--B below tenor C. Given that, and a 4' stop pulled, you would hear the B below middle C (one octave higher).
- Given the same B played and a 1 3/5' stop pulled, you hear the note two D-sharps above middle C (two octaves and a major third higher).
- Given the same B played and a 16' stop pulled, you hear the B below the bass staff (one octave lower).
