How to Learn a Piece:
PLAN YOUR WORK

Once you have caught the vision of your new piece, STRUCTURE your practice time.

Plan to finish this project in one to two weeks.

You should dedicate some of your practice time every day to your hymn project. Only you can determine how much, but you might begin with fifteen to thirty minutes.

What sort of reward will help you through the practice process? Will the satisfaction of completion alone be enough? If not, choose another reward and begin earning it.

For Hymn Project 1, your musical SCORE is prepared for you: fingering and pedaling are supplied, no tying of repeated notes is necessary, and there is no page turn.
