Pedal Divisional Toe Studs

Of the toe studs that serve unique functions not duplicated by any thumb pistons, the pedal divisionals (“locals”) are the most common. These combination toe studs, which store and recall combinations for Pedal stops only, usually appear to the right of either the crescendo pedal or the right-most expression pedal. In this position they are well separated from the general combination toe studs that are usually found to the left.

Pedal divisional toe studs are occasionally duplicated on thumb pistons. When this is so, they are usually found underneath the lowest manual.
