Large Organ Consoles

Stop Knobs ("DRAWKNOBS")

Larger consoles usually differ from smaller consoles in the type of stop controls.

Instead of stop tabs or rocker tabs, larger organs frequently have stop knobs--also called "drawknobs." These are installed into two stop jambs that are located to the right and left of the manuals. The stop jambs are angled inward toward the organist for ease of access.
