If you wish to try this, make the connections as described on the previous screen. If you need more detail, follow the instructions for your organ and for your MIDI sound module or synthesizer. The following describes how to use a Rodgers PR-300 Sequencer/Sound Module with a MIDI-compatible organ. You can use another sound source with whatever adaptations are needed.
Turn on the sequencer/sound module (“PR-300”). Press the “Sound” button on the very top of the unit. Cancel all organ stops. Engage the “MIDI on Great” coupler on the organ. If you play on the Great, you will hear the piano if the PR-300 volume is adjusted properly.
Try other sounds. Push the right cursor key just under the PR-300 display once. The cursor on the display will now be pointing to the name of the sound--Piano. Use the wheel to select another of the more than 300 sounds contained in the sound module, then play it on the Great. Try some of the orchestral sounds on the Great, and try playing music in alternation with organ stops on the Swell.
